Job Title: Assistant Manager, Accounting&Assurance
Location: Ilupeju, Lagos State
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting and Assurance Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing audit engagements, managing client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting and assurance services. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement: Lead and manage projects for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring high standards of service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Assurance Services: Conduct and supervise assurance engagements, including audits and reviews, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Financial Analysis: Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and provide actionable insights to clients.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure clients’ compliance with relevant accounting principles and regulatory requirements and stay updated on industry changes.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop junior staff and consultants, providing guidance, feedback, and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Quality Control: Review and approve deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to firm methodologies and quality standards.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting and assurance processes, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness for clients.
Requirements:
- BSc minimum of 2.1 or HND upper credit in accounting or related courses from a reputable institution.
- Minimum of 5-7 years post NYSC relevant experience in consulting firm
- Professional membership of ICAN or ACCA is mandatory
- Proven experience in accounting, auditing, and assurance services
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
