Description:

Overview:
Serve as a SME (subject matter expert) within the assigned department or area. Handles clinical, administrative, and tactical duties. Holds additional authority with regards to monitoring staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides day-to-day on site leadership or guidance to other team members
  • Assures adherence to organizational guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Ensures compliance with all appropriate regulatory agencies, corporate compliance, system protocols and office procedures and communicating policy changes to appropriate staff
  • Manages the Supervisors/Coordinators of each practice to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures and standardize a continuous process improvement
  • Works closely with physicians to enhance practice operations, maximize reimbursement, collections and contain costs
  • Maintains and manages relationships with key hospital and system departments to garner appropriate resources and support
  • Interprets complicated and complex patient care needs, works with management to select methods, techniques and approach to patient care
  • Regularly demonstrates subject matter expertise regarding standards, techniques, and mentors/coaches staff
  • Implements, and evaluates standards of evidence based practice and standards to ensure continuity, quality, effectiveness and patient satisfaction
  • Exercises independent judgment on basic or moderately complex issues related to job
  • Recommends new processes, tools & techniques to mgmt.
  • Determines priorities for group; provides guidance & assists staff on non-routine/escalated issues
  • Oversees functional duties of others
  • Serves as case/technical lead on issues of moderate to major complexity
  • May provide input into hiring and promotion decisions for staff
  • Provides input into performance reviews and corrective actions for staff
  • Performs cardiac ultrasound procedures.
  • Ensures that proper views and images have been obtained and proper techniques have been employed; determines the need for more extensive evaluations beyond preliminary instructions.
  • Monitors patient condition. Performs direct observation of the patient during the entire examination. Recognizes and promptly reports to the physician, changes in the patient’s condition and/or motor abnormality complaints by the patient including fainting discoloration, etc.
  • Maintains records and logs exams performed.
  • Carries out assigned tasks and responsibilities of Technical Director for IAC Standards and accreditation.
  • Ensures office staff members are trained and versed on all applicable information systems associated with the practices and assist with all transitions to EHR’s, as applicable
  • Institutes and maintains tracking of physician activity to ensure all revenue is captured
  • Assists in monitoring physician productivity for incentive compensation
  • Participates in professional development activities to keep current with trends and practices in healthcare administration and provide training to staff as necessary
  • Facilitates communication among physicians, staff and administration establishing a climate that encourages teamwork and promotes collegial collaboration among all team members including regular staff meetings/physician meetings with office Supervisors/Coordinators to discuss operational, financial and strategic initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Certifications based on department/role assignment
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within a private care, hospital facility setting with a minimum of 3 years serving in a lead role with supervisory authority
  • Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information.
  • Complies with Infection Control, Standard Precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., face mask, goggles, latex/non-latex gloves) as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively within role independently and with other team members.
  • Ability to organize and complete work in a timely manner.
  • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
  • Ability to understand medical/surgical terminology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
