Description:
GENERAL OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Energy with a strong background in mechanical and electrical building systems and an ability to understand analytics to oversee the energy performance of our facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing energy usage, reducing costs, and ensuring the continued performance of our building systems through the use of advanced analytical tools and techniques.
Responsibilities:
AS AN ASSISTANT MANAGER, ENERGY, WITH ELLISDON FACILITIES SERVICES (EDFS), YOU WILL WORK WITH THE ADVISORY, TECHNICAL, PURSUITS AND ENERGY TEAM TO SUPPORT THE SERVICE DELIVERY ELEMENTS OF OUR PORTFOLIO AND UPCOMING PURSUITS PIPELINE. YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Develop and implement energy management strategies to improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption across all facilities
- Monitor and analye energy consumption data using Building Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Information Systems (EMIS)
- Perform regular energy audits to identify areas for improvement and implement energy-saving initiatives
- Utilize fault detection and diagnostic tools to identify and address operational issues in HVAC, lighting, and other energy systems
- Collaborate with facility managers and maintenance teams to ensure the implementation of corrective actions for identified energy inefficiencies
- Stay updated with the latest energy management technologies and FDD tools to enhance analytics capabilities
- Prepare detailed energy reports and performance metrics to communicate findings and recommendations to manegement and stakeholders
- Manage and oversee energy conservation projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet budget, scope, and timeline requirements
IS THIS ROLE RIGHT FOR YOU? ARE YOU…?
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Licensed Engineer (P.Eng. or Registered EIT), or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T) is preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in energy management, commissioning, building automation, or mechnical consulting
- Proficiency with BMS and other FDD and/or energy analysis software tool would be considered an asset
- Strong analytical and presentation skills with the ability to think on your feet and itneract with intermediate and executive level team memebrs
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office application, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of energy conservation measures, HVAC systenms, and building envelope efficiencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to staying information on emerging trends and technologies in energy management
