RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Five or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in conducting timely field action launches to address equipment failure modes.
- Three or more years of experience in the automotive business, including, vehicle safety, design, testing, field reliability evaluation, and service is preferred.
- Automotive assembly plant or component manufacturing experience a plus.

Responsibilities:
PURPOSE
- Responsible for executing field actions related to safety defects and/or possible noncompliance with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS). Work with a cross-functional team to effectively and efficiently execute field action. Lead major system and process enhancements.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and coordinate Hyundai groups to remedy safety issues by coordinating and launching field actions to customers.
- Develop innovative technical approaches to process field action activities, including deliverable tracking.
- Assist in the development of the Global Field Action Management System to handle all activities involving the VIN: from owner name and address retrieval through NHTSA updates. Assure no VIN is left behind.
- Monitor field action completion rates and maintain system to develop default rates based on past performance.
- Assist in the development of advanced outreach strategies to ensure completion rates are above historical internal and external rates of repair.
- Develop a suite of completion tracking tools to be used by region, zone, dealer, and any other geographic group to assess performance to targets by all critical support groups.
- Ensure service parts are purged of suspect parts.
- Work with suppliers to assure part supply availability and set up fair share allocation of parts plans for each region.
- Prepare materials for senior leaders to keep them informed of progress and challenges.
- Participate in vehicle safety forums, technical conferences, meetings, panels, etc. and internally disseminate the knowledge gained.

- Work with related Hyundai groups to identify potential anomalies in field action performance and immediately trigger required deep-dive analysis.
- Participate in Safety Decision Meetings as needed.
