We are recruiting to fill the position below:
JOB DESCRIPTION
- The Assistant Manager, HSE will assist the HSE Manager in implementing and managing HSE policies and programs, conducting safety audits, and overseeing compliance with safety regulations.
- The role requires proactive planning, monitoring, and improving health and safety practices to reduce workplace risks.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably with managerial or supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Relevant HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, HSE Level 1-3) is preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and enforcing HSE policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Support the investigation of accidents and incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide HSE training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Coordinate emergency response and readiness plans, including conducting drills and first-aid training.
- Monitor and report on safety performance and environmental impact, preparing data-driven reports for management.
- Maintain accurate records of all HSE activities, including incident reports, inspection findings, and safety meetings.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Support the HSE Manager in strategic planning and policy development to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
