Hours: Full time
Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our above offices.

We’re looking for an Assistant Manager for our Individual Annuity Pricing Team which is part of our Insurance, Pension and Investments division.
This role supports the team to deliver annuity rates changes, product updates and our annuity strategy. The team comprises of pricing and market specialists, and you’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery of appropriate commercial pricing of our Products.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver annuity reprices and commercial analysis and developments safely and on time.
  • Ensure that annuity pricing is delivered transparently with an audit trail, and that controls and processes have been applied accurately.
  • Input into pricing technical basis and methodology development. We work closely with the Pricing Models and Assumptions team!
  • Contribute to the specification of commercial pricing models process improvements, and refinements. You’ll collaborate with the Model Development team for these developments.
  • Collaborate with teams across the business on annuity pricing.

What you’ll need:

  • Partly qualified or newly qualified actuary. Pricing experience helpful, but not crucial.
  • An ambitious spirit. You can identify and resolve issues optimally and efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills. Able to explain sophisticated problems in simple terms.
  • Strong analytical skills, commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • An ability to work with well with colleagues from multi-disciplined backgrounds.
