Description:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors in BA or other relevant studies.
  • Candidates with Compliance certification will have added advantage.
  • At least 5 years of legal compliance experience in the relevant areas, prior in-house MNC experience is preferred.
  • Familiar with the Singapore and International laws.
  • Possess strong transactional and stakeholder management skills as well as a high level of integrity.
  • Intuitive communication and good interpersonal skills.
  • Exposure to Securities & Futures Act, SGX Listing Manual, MAS Notices would be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

This position will be supporting all aspects of compliance within the Group, and ensure that its employees are complying with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Devise internal review framework and policies to standardise procedures across all different Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).
  • Perform periodic reviews of compliance polices and controls (e.g. quarterly checks on employees’ trades etc.) to ensure that they remain robust and in line with regulatory standard and industry best practices.
  • Spearheaded the development of Compliance E-training for all staff and directors, from conceptualization to launch.
  • Work closely with the REITs Legal Counsels to ensure that the relevant compliance matters. under SGX Listing Manual Continuing Obligations and Capital Markets License Reporting are complied with and done timely.
  • Assist in monitoring and communicating impact analysis on consultation papers and regulatory updates to the REITs Management as well as to consolidate response for submission to the authorities when needed.
  • Assist in conducting Know Your Customer (KYC)/Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews and subscription agreements reviews on investors for private real estate funds.
  • Oversee the Council of Estate Agencies (CEA) license application for required employees as well as to ensure that the requirements by CEA are complied with.
  • Familiar with key applicable regulations such as Securities & Futures Act, SGX Listing Manual, MAS Notices and Guidelines.
