Description:

ASSISTANT MANAGER / MANAGER, HR BUSINESS PARTNER

Reporting to Director, Organisational Development & Human Resources, you will be a trusted advisor to Management, driving HR initiatives that align with organizational goals and fostering a high-performance culture. This role is instrumental in driving initiatives that promote workforce excellence, employee engagement, and organizational sustainability within Singapore Academy of Law.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree preferably in a HR related discipline, having IHRP Certification would be advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of progressive HR experience and proven track record as a HR Business Partner.
  • Strong analytical and numerate skills with an eye for detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrate diplomacy and professionalism.Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate a strong rapport with Cluster Heads and Heads of Department as well as with staff within assigned Business Units (BUs) as a reliable HR advisor.
  • Collaborate with BUs on their workforce planning and requirements, involving active engagement with hiring managers to execute recruitment strategies and processes for filling Division vacancies.
  • Manage the recruitment process which includes identifying staffing needs, developing job descriptions, and conducting interviews, and making salary offers.
  • Advise on change management initiatives to ensure smooth implementation of HR programmes and policies.
  • Recommend HR strategies that competitively position SAL as an employer of choice.
  • Provide expert advice to management and business units on HR related matters.Review HR policies and strategies including strategic manpower planning, recruitment, performance management and other projects as assigned.
