Position Summary:
The Assistant Manager, Activation – North America supports the development and execution of the North America activation plan for the Appearance sub-category within the Auto Care business. As part of that role, this individual is responsible for management of organic social, influencer selection and execution and supporting additional activities required within the North America activation space.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Organic Social
  • Define the strategy and role of organic social within the Appearance segment, including content strategy, cadence, target audience, interactions with paid social
  • Define the approach to community management and execute; optimize internal processes to deliver on the business needs
  • Manage external agencies to support execution of content creation (including static images, reels and copy), posting and community management
  • Continuously assess what is working and not working to optimize content approach
  • Partner with internal media team to manage boosting strategy
  • Serve as main point-of-contact for agency questions related to appearance products and brands
  • Manage Influencer Selection and Execution
  • Partner with brand and media teams to understand brand objectives and define approach to influencer programs
  • Manage external agencies to support execution of identifying, selecting and partnering with influencers
  • Lead communication and direction provided to influences; lead the review of content, providing feedback to ensure posts meet brand objectives
  • Assess influencer impact continuously optimize influencer selection approach
  • Support Additional Activation & Administrative Activities
  • Support development of annual North America activation plan
  • Support trade show management including product display development and product orders
  • Provide North America specific ecommerce/digital content support and analysis
  • Support vendors and internal digital economy team in procuring and posting ratings/reviews
  • Lead sample request process
  • Develop coupon program, implement and evaluate
  • Develop and execute various national activations (e.g., sample program, activation at national event)
  • Work cross functionally with sales, marketing operations, shopper marketing, category management and global marketing to ensure flawless and on time execution of marketing initiatives
  • Analyze sales data and projections for key North American retailers
  • Serve as North America representative in product development meetings, assisting in development of customer-specific items, packaging, multi-packs, gift kits, etc.
  • Complete additional team tasks as needed including: budget management, processing of POs, website management, event support, merchandise orders/shipments, and handling customer requests
  • Provide category intelligence pertaining to competitive activities including new product launches, promotional activities and social media

What we are looking for:

  • BA/BS required (4-year degree)
  • 2 - 4 years of related experience, preferably in marketing activations in the North America market
  • Strong understanding of organic social and influencer programs
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Strategic and curious mindset that continues to critically assess and evolve initiatives
  • Very strong project management skills and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented with highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think creatively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency strongly preferred
  • Consumer packaged goods experience preferred
