ABOUT THE TEAM

We are seeking a team member who brings enthusiasm for safety and is open to working with a multi-disciplinary team to embed safety by design for future national radioactive waste disposal pathways. As a relatively new agency, ARWA continues to develop its foundations and is seeking people willing to embark on an exciting journey of continued change and growth. The role presents an opportunity to be involved at the foundational stage of a significant project for Australia and contribute to a critical national infrastructure program. The role is suited to a candidate with a strong background in radiation/nuclear safety and a growth mindset. Safety case development skills are desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will be developed in this area.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Facilitate development of the safety case by providing technical expertise for the undertaking, delivery, and procurement of services for safety case development and other safety related activities, under the direction of the technical lead.
  • Provide direction, and guidance to the team regarding area priorities.
  • Create and maintain national and international collaborative relationships to maximise ARWA’s reach within the nuclear and radioactive waste industry.
  • Cultivate, promote and support a culture for safety across ARWA.
