ASSISTANT MANAGER

Shake Shack is a modern day “roadside” burger stand serving deliciously classic burgers, fries, hot dogs, frozen custard, beer, wine, and more. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You must be self-motivated, positive, and possess a passion for fostering a great sense of team work
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience supervising a team

· Food Safety Certification (level 2 food hygiene) · Right to Work in UK

  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Effective Communication Skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to drive hospitality and inspire others to do so

ABOUT US

Beginning as a hotdog cart in New York City’s Madison Square Park, Shake Shack was created by Danny Meyer, Founder and CEO of Union Square Hospitality Group and best-selling author of Setting the Table. Shack Fans lined up daily, making the cart a resounding success, and donating all proceeds back to the park beautification efforts. Responsibilities:

The Assistant Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operational and financial excellence of the Shack by exercising great leadership and decision-making that supports operational standards and the culture of Enlightened Hospitality. The Assistant Manager will:

  • Manage the flow of service to ensure the highest levels of Safety, Cleanliness, Quality, and Speed, while simultaneously upholding Shack standards of Hospitality in all interactions.
  • Help build and lead high performance team of hourly Team Members by participating in the training, development, and performance management of people.
  • Complete operational support functions (i.e. Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, etc.) at the Shack to ensure operational excellence and financial health of the business.
  • Lead and works to maintain the facility and all equipment to the highest standards – ensuring Safety and Cleanliness.

We will provide a 6-8 week training program with 4 weeks of hands-on application and certification program to prepare you for success.
