JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Assistant Manager - Shoal Creek Campground
Department: Shoal Creek Campground
Reports To: VP of Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt

SUMMARY Responsible for the day-to-day Campground operations at (Shoal Creek Campgrounds) Based on assignment
Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, phone and email etiquette, strong customer service skills, and an attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for Guest relation and ensuring Guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee training, hiring & scheduling of staff.
  • Manage hours and payroll daily.
  • Collecting & reporting of revenue.
  • Inventory/ordering of resale items.
  • Problem resolution and staff management.
  • Provide detailed and consistent direction to team members with follow up.
  • Overseeing general campground maintenance and ensuring items being corrected in a timely manner.
  • Assign daily tasks and follow up to ensure completion in a timely manner.
  • Scheduling vehicle and golf cart maintenance.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
  • Direct involvement in all special events within: RV Resort, Shoal Creek Campground and Chestnut Ridge Campground.
  • Have a complete working knowledge of all campground systems used for Shoal Creek Campground and Chestnut Ridge Campground.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Responsibilities:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises 15+ employees in the Campground Department at multiple locations on and off property. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Properties including but not limited to: RV Resort, Shoal Creek Campground and Chestnut Ridge Campground.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid drivers license and clean MVR for three years.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience with hospitality or recreational management preferred.
