JOB SUMMARY:

The Singapore Organisation of Seamen (SOS) is seeking a proactive and dedicated Membership Assistant Manager to lead our membership division. This role involves managing membership recruitment and retention strategies, enhancing member engagement, and ensuring the delivery of excellent services and benefits to our members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in membership management, strategic planning, and team leadership.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Education : Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in membership management, marketing, or a related role.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Experience in developing and managing outreach programmes aligned with the organisation’s established goals.
  • Proven track record in project management and event coordination.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to collect and analyze relevant data.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and CRM systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the membership database accurately and promptly.
  • Execute a combination of operational, member engagement, administrative support, and strategic collaboration tasks to support the Manager and Senior Manager.
  • Assist in planning, organising, and executing membership events, meetings, and member welfare activities.
  • Manage logistical details such as venue booking, catering, and attendee registration.
  • Collaborate with Internal/external partners or vendors.
  • Provides customer service to members and works with the Managers on escalated member issues.
  • Foster positive relationships with members to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Generate reports and analyse membership data to support decision-making.
  • Propose ideas for the continuous improvement of membership events and administrative processes.Any other duties that may be assigned.
