Description:
We are seeking a passionate, self-motivated, and highly organized Tasting Room Assistant Manager to join our team and help create exceptional guest experiences. In this crucial leadership role, you will assist the Tasting Room Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our tasting room, ensuring smooth and efficient operations while fostering a welcoming environment for both staff and guests. As Assistant Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, managing staff schedules, organizing and monitoring inventory, and supporting administration work related to the wine club and sales. Responsibilities:
· Provide leadership and create a positive work environment for all tasting room associates with a focus on excellent customer service.
· Conduct wine tastings/vineyard tours and provide guests with knowledge and information about our wines, our vineyard, and the winemaking process.
· Perform opening and closing duties
· Assist in managing schedules and timesheet
· Manage tasting room inventory
· Ensure cleanliness and organization of the tasting room including washrooms and patio
· Educate guests about the Wine Club and encourage sign-ups and building the club
· Organize basic food preparation (charcuterie boards)
· Assist with organization of winery events and special projects
· Assist with necessary wine club administration, calling or emailing customers
Requirements:
· Must be 19 years of age and have a Serving it Right Certificate
· Friendly, approachable & professional demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· A minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service and sales
· A minimum of 1 year of management experience
· Work weekends and holidays
· Ability to lift 40lbs
· An interest in wine is required, prior knowledge of wine is a benefit
· Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
· Computer literacy including the ability to create and modify Excel and Word documents as well as effectively utilize web-based tools and resources.
· Have valid Driver’s License
· Food Safe Certificate is ideal but can be acquired during employment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
