Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Our Taxation division has a great opportunity for an experienced business services accountant with a keen interest in tax to take on a leadership role in the team. This role offers a blend of client-focused work, team oversight and workflow management. In this role you will provide your internal and external stakeholders with exceptional client service by developing an in-depth understanding of each client’s circumstances and ensuring the smooth running of the Taxation division.

AS AN ASSISTANT MANAGER YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Managing tax compliance engagements, researching, and advising on complex tax issues.
  • Providing taxation consultancy advise, report writing and handling client requests.
  • Preparing income tax returns for more complex client entities.
  • Assisting with managing, coordinating and delegating client work (including scheduling workflow and preparing budgets).
  • Reviewing work and supporting junior team members learning and development.Identifying and acting on new business development and referral opportunities within the firm.
