SALARY: £38,000 - £42,500

HOURS: Full-Time
DURATION: 2-Year Fixed-Term Contract
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least
two days per week, or 40% of our time in the office.
About this opportunity
As part of Brands, Marketing and Experience, the Consumer Lending Engagement Squad leads the interface into the business and plays the co-ordinating role in setting and delivering against priorities based on customer and business insight.
The Lending Team, within the Consumer Lending Engagement Squad, is looking for someone with a passion for getting things right for our customers, who understands what great communications look like and has a collaborative and can-do focus to ensure we deliver outstanding comms day in, day out. Our communications play a meaningful role in our customers’ everyday lives, helping them to make the right financial decisions as well as ensuring the Group meets its regulatory obligations.
This role is a 2-Year Fixed-Term Contract opportunity to engage our existing Credit Cards customers through the development and delivery of targeted communications. You’ll work with a number of teams (e.g. data, business units, external creative agencies and suppliers) in order to deliver best in class marketing, to help our customers understand the benefits of their card and how to use it in the best way for them.

  • Insight-focused to deliver timely, relevant and engaging points of interaction across a multi-channel journey and maintain focus on improving efficiency.
  • We shape our propositions by customer segment and strive to create personalised customer engagements from insight, resulting in excellent interactions that enhance both the brand and customer experience.
  • We use data to move us to a personalised 1-2-1 customer communication strategy, continuously learning and optimising as we go.
  • We collaborate across the Group to ensure that our campaigns meet the needs of our customers, whilst also delivering for the business.

You’ll be involved with the following activities:

  • Developing and implementing multi variant, personalised campaigns through multiple 121 channels, such as Email and Online.
  • Ensuring delivery format meets customer and regulatory needs, such as in line with Consumer Duty regulations.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships both internally and externally, including suppliers and agencies – to support delivery of shared objectives.
  • Managing approvals, feedback and final sign off of all communications using a campaign management system.
  • Accurately accounting for all campaign spend and understand LBG budgeting processes.
  • Navigate a wide variety of existing processes and procedures to interpret performance data and identify possible solutions.

What you’ll need

Essential

  • A marketing background which includes customer communication and content development across multiple formats and channels.
  • Strong production experience and knowledge of levers to deliver continual speed to market improvements.
  • Communication and storytelling skills, able to express your point of view, ideas, and solutions clearly and convincingly to partners.
  • Experience interpreting performance data to make recommendations to improve campaign activity.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desirable

  • Hands-on experience of applying relevant consumer legislation to communications.
