Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at the University of Providence is dedicated to providing instruction and support as an Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach under the guidance of the Head Men’s Soccer Coach.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred with coaching and/or playing experience.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering comprehensive Men’s Soccer skill instruction through both individualized sessions and small group settings.
- Utilizing video review techniques to effectively teach and enhance Men’s Soccer proficiency among students.
- Engaging in hands-on teaching and coaching during soccer practices alongside the head coach.
- Assisting in tracking and supporting the academic progress of student athletes.
- Contributing to the cultivation of leadership qualities and the instillation of core values in student athletes.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of and adherence to NAIA, Cascade Conference, University, and departmental rules and regulations.
- Assisting in various aspects of team management including recruiting, scouting, travel logistics, coaching during competitions and practices, and participating in public relations activities.
- Collaborating on team fundraisers and engaging in departmental fundraising initiatives.
- Assisting in the organization and execution of program-specific camps and clinics.
- Actively participating in professional memberships and seeking out opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Serving on department and university committees as needed.
- Integrating additional instructional or administrative duties as assigned, such as planning and conducting recruitment-focused camps both on and off campus.
- Willingness to undertake other tasks as delegated by the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
