Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Assistant Merchandise Manager, you will support the Merchandise Manager in developing and implementing product strategies, managing end-to-end (E2E) product ranges for apparel, accessories, and footwear across the Hard Yakka range.
Your role will involve analysing market trends, consulting on product range selection and pricing strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams for new product development, and ensuring commercial expectations are met. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in maintaining the brand’s market competitiveness and driving its success.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Support in developing and implementing product strategy for the brand.
- Ensure product and brand alignment with customer and market needs, as well as brand strategy.
- Analyse market trends and consumer insights to inform product development and maintain market competitiveness.
- Consult on product range selection to meet market/customer needs and align with brand strategy.
- Support pricing strategies to meet commercial expectations of product performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Design and Technical) for new product development.
- Ideation and development of product briefs for new products.
- Assess the commercial viability of new products.
- Manage the launch of new products into the market.
- Ensure commercial expectations are met for both product strategy and performance.
