QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to work collaboratively as a member of the administrative team of Alternative and Continuing Education;
A Secondary School Graduation Diploma is required;
Excellent computer skills and a working knowledge of Aspen, Prism, MS Office & Excel, G-Suite tools and WordPress is required;
Possess excellent interpersonal skills;
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form, with staff, students, clients (proven ability to relate to clients both in person and on the phone);
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with proven ability to multi-task;
Knowledge of Ministry of Education OnSIS guidelines and Ontario Secondary School (OSS), Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and Secondary School Graduation Diploma (SSGD);
Secondary experience preferred; and
Preference will be given to candidates with working knowledge of Alternative and Continuing Education programs.

Responsibilities:

Ability to assume office supervisory responsibilities;
Provide administrative support to all Alternative and Continuing Education programs;
Maintain Aspen computer systems including; set up schools, scheduling, registration, attendance and transcript, including mark reporting, report cards and year end duties;
Prepare and complete OnSIS submissions;
Maintain and supervise the distribution, receipt and storage of Ontario Student Records (OSR) information files;
Assist with Supervision of part-time secretaries and provide support for Continuing Education Programs (ex. Summer School and International Language sites);
Establish and maintain effective public relations and communications with the clients, staff, students, program supervisors and guidance staff of WRDSB, WCDSB and private schools;
Support the vision, philosophy and procedures of Alternative and Continuing Education;
Communicate with school to update U-Turn, New Dawn (W) and Dual Credit/SWAC class lists;
Maintenance of marks and credits achieved for all Alternative Education Programs (including U-Turn, Choices, New Dawn (W), Dual Credit and SWAC and other programs);
Maintenance of U-Turn and Choices files; and
Other duties as assigned.
