ASSISTANT OPERATIONS MANAGER AYR DEPOT, STAGECOACH WEST SCOTLAND

How does working in the fast paced Ayr depot, set in the beautiful Ayrshire countryside on the West Coast of Scotland sound, with responsibility for local, interurban and express bus services, thrown in as part of the day job? If that sounds appealing, then applying for the Ayr Assistant Operations Manager role is made for you.
What we’ll need from you is to ensure we deliver a safe, punctual, high-quality product on the road, whilst working closely and effectively with the depot team to ensure the overall success of the operation. As you will have immediate responsibility for 61 vehicles and around 160 employees.
You might be an existing Assistant Operations Manager ready for a change in location, looking for a bigger depot or you may be an Operations Supervisor looking for a step up. Either way it’s important for you to be an excellent communicator and confident leader of people. So, you can motivate, develop and engage your colleagues, in order to have customer-focused drivers ready and able to meet our customers’ expectations.
Th e responsibility to respond quickly to any problems will be yours, so you will have the opportunity to make a direct and hugely positive impact on our customers and our business. You will need to build excellent relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and to do this yo u need a real business focus and to be commercially aware, all supported by strong organisational skills.
