EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- 5+ years of Retail people management experience
- Driver’s License & Insurance Required
- Proven success in generating sales outcomes through top tier Key Performance Indicators
- Strong skill set in store operational excellence, showcasing low shrink, tight inventory and facilities management
- Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets
- Understanding & experience in Visual Merchandising & product analysis
- Ability to stand, lift (within reason) on the sales floor and operationally in BOH
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to support the business

Retail Assistant Operations Managers are team oriented & highly collaborative. We are accountable for our Store business & operations. Our ability to manage and lead a Retail Team, support effective strategies, and maintain high standards of operational excellence are crucial for the success of the Retail business.
ABOUT PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Store Performance: Be a partner in monitoring and assessing retail store performance, including sales, product levels by season, and general compliance with company standards and policies. Showcase understanding of Retail Key Performance Indicators, and utilize this skillset to consistently support and build the business.
- Sales and Growth: Support your team in delivering strong results through positive year over year growth and stable KPIs. Think creatively on store specific initiatives to drive top line revenue & partner with your Store Manager to champion for your business. Understand that beating former years or hitting Plan is a benchmark, and there is always more room to improve and grow each business.
- Customer Service: While CX is not your primary responsibility, all Stance Retail Employees are trained to support the Sales Floor. When you are needed on the Sales Floor, willingly uphold the level of customer service provided in store as a high level leader of your business. Provide direct feedback and shoulder to shoulder training and support to continuously improve the customer experience. Be the epitome of a Brand Ambassador for the brand, setting the tone and being an example for your team.
- Staff Management: Train and support the development of your people. Support your Store Manager to ensure staff is well-trained, motivated, and consistently delivers excellent customer service, operates to the standard of the broader brand, and complies with expectations and laws for the market.
- Directly manage and lead an Operations team within the store.
- Own training and development of Store Operations for all employees.
- People Operations: Maintain that resources and support is available to your team for all People Operations. Manage processes to ensure we legally comply with local laws and guidelines. Partner directly with your Store Manager and HR support for potential performance discussions, safety discussions, and any further HR circumstance.
- Operational Efficiency: Partner with your Store Manager to oversee all store operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company guidelines. This includes inventory management, cash handling, loss prevention, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Be an expert in all store operations & use this knowledge to deliver on time and strong results for the team.
- Directly oversee Inventory Flow & Logistics, partnering with Allocations and District Manager as needed
- Build Reporting and maximize available data to ensure Store Inventory is managed to support sales and consumer need
- Analyze reporting to drive Visual Merchandising decisions daily & weekly, rooted in data and on hand inventory
- Own Inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and shipment audits
- Directly Manage Facilities and Maintenance + Store Budgets.
- Visual Merchandising: Support in executing Visual Merchandising directives effectively and efficiently, using knowledge of Product Assortment and Inventory Management to help dictate merchandising decisions. Be open to feedback, while advocating and merchandising to support the market specific consumer. Use store specific data to drive Visual Merchandising decisions alongside Store Leadership, always with the intent to drive the business.
- Communication: Support Store communication, ensuring the team is always aligned on goals and upcoming or current initiatives. Be an expert in who to contact and how to cascade or escalate information to better support your business. Operate with the understanding that transparency and integrity are critical to the success of the business.
