The Division has an active, fully accredited Royal College Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship program, training 20 fellows over the past decade. Members of the division are involved in diverse scholarly activities at the hospital and university as well as nationally and internationally.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will be a member of the Division of Nephrology at the Montreal Children’s Hospital (MCH), McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and will be expected to share equally in on call duties. Academic clinicians are expected to cover the inpatient/dialysis service 12-16 weeks per year, cover the transplant service 12-20 weeks per year (including one half-day clinic), and hold 2-3 half-day out-patient clinics per week on non-service weeks. All nephrologists are also expected to participate in all clinical and administrative division meetings.
Research and other academic activities are encouraged and supported. Supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows in the course of clinical care is mandatory and participation in the pediatric nephrology subspecialty training program is expected. Physicians in the Division of Nephrology are also expected to contribute to our interdisciplinary education mission, supporting the education and professional development of nurses and nurse practitioners. All faculty in the Department of Pediatrics are expected to participate in teaching to undergraduate medical students.
