EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Food Science, Dairy Science or related field preferred
- 5 years experience in industrial food packaging - dairy or cheese packaging a plus
- 3-5 years experience in a management/supervisory role
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
- Food industry technology and packaging processes, quality, food safety, and health and safety
- Food production sanitation practices
- Organizational tools and methods
- Process flow management
- Collective line and non-line management
- Computer/office systems
SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Candidate should be analytical and attentive to detail
- Manage stress and remain calm under pressure
- Demonstrate a sense of responsibility and high professional standards, honesty, integrity, and objectivity

Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the packaging department’s work
- Conduct interviews when necessary
- Lead a team: delegate, instill a sense of responsibility, set targets, communicate instructions, control and listen
- Provide reports to management
- Apply well-defined standards in costs and budgets
- Record efficiency data
- Analyze and evaluate packaging parameters and implement corrective actions
- Propose technical and organizational improvements to management
- Monitors packaging material and their inventories
- Plan and schedule employees consistent with volume requirements
- Apply safety rules and ensure they are implemented and followed
- Apply and enforce all quality programs
- Participate and recommend solutions to common quality issues
- Take action to continuously improve his/her process targets
