As part of Carnivals amazing Engine Team Assistant Plumbers your are part of the behind-the-scenes team who play a vital role in ensuring all of the vessel’s potable water, technical water, greywater, and black water systems are fully functioning. As part of a small but hard-working and FUN plumbing team, you will be working in the guest, crew, and technical areas around the ship.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Under the supervision of the Chief Plumber performs maintenance and up-keeping of the vessels potable water, technical water, greywater, and black water systems.
• Cleaning, maintenance, and repairs of ancillaries components (pumps, ejectors, level switches, etc.) of black water collecting tanks (evac)
• Maintenance and repair of greywater collecting tanks and black water treatment plants ancillaries (Pumps, level switches, air diffusers), but not limited to.
• Responds to any call for intervention from guest and crew areas
• Performs on-call duties per the department schedule.
• Participated in all safety drills and training
• Adheres to all environmental procedures and policies
• Any other job assigned by the Chief Plumber or Staff Chief Engineer.

Qualifications and competence:

• Minimum 24 months experience as Plumber
• High School Diploma, Technical training in Plumbing
• Basic Training Certificates as per STCW standard
• English language proficiency
• Strong focus on ships safety management
• Ability to work well with a team
• US Visa C1/D
• Covid 19 Certificate

Additionally it is preferred, however not required, with shipboard experience in same capacity onboard cruise ships.
