Description:

The Central Norfolk Child and Adolescent Eating Disorder Service (CEN-CAEDS) is based on site at Hellesdon Hospital. We work with children and young people, who are suspected of or have a diagnosis of an eating disorder and offer family-based and individual treatment.
As a Band 4 Practitioner, you would form part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT), co-working cases with other clinicians in the team and providing individualised, holistic care to young people in the service.
Treatment is provided by a multidisciplinary team consisting of clinicians with overlapping clinical skills and knowledge.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing a high level of care for young people with eating disorders. Therefore, excellent interpersonal communication and organisational skills are required.
You will need to be confident while also offering service users support, showing respect and compassion to the service user, their family, and carers. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and providing excellent care under the supervision of a registered professional in the team.
You will attend team meetings with the MDT and update on the progress of young people in the service and review their care and treatment needs.
You will be on the assessment rota and take part in assessing new referrals to the service.
You will monitor the physical health of young people within the service and respond appropriately to any concerns.
You will be arranging and facilitating face-to-face appointments with young people and their families as part of their treatment. You will be expected to keep accurate and detailed documentation and care plans as part of this role.
You may be expected to visit young people in acute hospitals or inpatient units to review them and support planning for discharge to the community.
