ROLE SUMMARY

The Assistant Private Secretary (APS) reports to ARTIS’ Private Secretary (PS), who in turn reports to the ARTIS Executive Director (ED). Together with the ED’s Personal Assistant, the PS and APS comprise the ED’s Private Office. Together, the private office supports the ED in delivering their responsibilities, forming an integral part of the directorate’s leadership team. The office operates with a high degree of autonomy, and is the first point of contact on issues that may require the ED’s attention. Where possible, the ED office will take care of those issues independently, using judgement to decide which issues to raise for further action.
