Description:

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in Product Management, at the heart of the Credit Card Product Team.
As an Assistant Product Manager, you’ll be the person who helps to build and act on insight to deliver exceptional member outcomes and improve business performance. The role provides first-hand experience of product management with exposure to the Society’s Credit Card products; you’ll work with Product Managers and the colleagues from right across the Society to support the day-to-day running of the product, the future product strategy and implementation of new initiatives.
Within the Credit Card product team our purpose is provide everyday banking propositions which help our members to thrive and are built to last. This role is a unique opportunity to be part of the Product team who as a collective, oversee the end-to-end Credit Card proposition.

ABOUT YOU

As a minimum, we are looking for someone with the following skills:

  • Have a numerical and analytical mindset with an aptitude for problem solving
  • Have strong Excel skills and good knowledge of PowerPoint & Word
  • Have experience working with data, generating insight, and providing considered recommendations
  • Have a proven ability to work to a high standard whilst handling time pressures
  • Have experience of building relationships and communicating with confidence
  • Be able to work well on your own initiative whilst balancing priorities

Responsibilities:

  • You’ll work on key projects, developing and implementing initiatives that help us to achieve our key objectives of improving member outcomes, efficiency, income, and satisfaction
  • You will use your evolving understanding of the market to make informed recommendations
  • You’ll use your analytical skills to provide detailed analysis into the latest product movements and trends to support key decision making
  • You will be presenting to senior stakeholders often, both in writing and verbally. You will need to successfully influence these colleagues, so clarity of thought and expression with particular regard to explaining the changes being made and presentation skills are key.
  • You will work closely with colleagues for example, Communications, Digital, Retail and Risk teams to investigate incidents and complaints and put it right when things go wrong
