Description:

As the Production Manager, you oversee the day-to-day running of the production facility. You will be responsible for managing and controlling production quality, ensuring smooth and efficient planning and scheduling, and fostering a positive work environment through mentoring and motivating personnel.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that all equipment, BOM materials and supplies are readily and continuously available to carry out production processes.
  • Determine resource requirements and work allocation for production operations.
  • Assist in planning, managing and executing production operations.
  • Coordinate and plan production priorities, workflow and schedule.
  • Identify and report operational and maintenance problems to prevent production delays.
  • Schedule routine inspection and maintenance of production equipment to prevent equipment break-downs and malfunctioning.
  • Cost Management.
  • Supervision of production personnel.
  • Production Administration.
  • Monitor daily production and targets.
  • Overseeing quality control and doing routine inspections.
  • Identifying training needs, and ensuring proper training is provided.
  • Optimise people, plant, machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure production process is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in documenting all work instructions and procedures.
  • Address employee concerns and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring and training new employees.
  • Ensure health, safety and hygiene.

Requirements:

  • Minimum grade 12 or Equivalent
  • N6 Electrical Engineering
  • Must be a Qualified Electrician
  • 5 years electrical experience in the Technical/Engineering Environment
  • Supervisory experience
