As the Production Manager, you oversee the day-to-day running of the production facility. You will be responsible for managing and controlling production quality, ensuring smooth and efficient planning and scheduling, and fostering a positive work environment through mentoring and motivating personnel.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Ensure that all equipment, BOM materials and supplies are readily and continuously available to carry out production processes.
- Determine resource requirements and work allocation for production operations.
- Assist in planning, managing and executing production operations.
- Coordinate and plan production priorities, workflow and schedule.
- Identify and report operational and maintenance problems to prevent production delays.
- Schedule routine inspection and maintenance of production equipment to prevent equipment break-downs and malfunctioning.
- Cost Management.
- Supervision of production personnel.
- Production Administration.
- Monitor daily production and targets.
- Overseeing quality control and doing routine inspections.
- Identifying training needs, and ensuring proper training is provided.
- Optimise people, plant, machinery and equipment.
- Ensure production process is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in documenting all work instructions and procedures.
- Address employee concerns and complaints in a professional manner.
- Assist in interviewing, hiring and training new employees.
- Ensure health, safety and hygiene.
Requirements:
- Minimum grade 12 or Equivalent
- N6 Electrical Engineering
- Must be a Qualified Electrician
- 5 years electrical experience in the Technical/Engineering Environment
- Supervisory experience
