The department of Computer Science in the College of Engineering and Computing Sciences at New York Tech seeks an Assistant Professor at the Vancouver Campus.
The department of Computer Science runs a successful MS Cybersecurity program and plans to introduce a master’s in computer sciences soon.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will teach courses primarily in our new Master of Data Science program starting in Spring 2025 but should also be able to provide support for other master’s level courses in Computer Science at the campus.
We solicit applications from individuals whose research focuses directly on Data Science methodology which includes artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistical inference, computational/applied mathematics, data visualization, etc.
We also welcome those working in other domains who contribute to data analysis methodology for that domain.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics or related area, excellent communication skills, and a solid track record in academia or industry.
Commitment to teaching at the graduate level and to research is required.
Candidates with a record of research with external grants and/or industrial experience are preferred.
