REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Earned doctorate in education with an emphasis in early childhood education or related field by time of appointment
• Three years of teaching experience in diverse TK-8 settings
• Experience using asset-based, developmentally appropriate, and learner-centered pedagogies in early childhood education (ages 3-8) in social studies, science, math, and/or literacy
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from Asian or Asian American, Black or African American, Latinx, and/or Native American or Indigenous backgrounds
• Demonstrated advocacy for and/or experience working with communities historically underserved and marginalized by educational policies and practices
• Demonstrated commitment to just, equitable, and inclusive education in teaching, scholarship, and/or service
• Experience working collaboratively with colleagues and community

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Multiple Subject/Elementary teaching credential
• Experience working with multilingual communities and evidence of a commitment to honoring plurilingualism and promoting language equity
• Experience teaching in hybrid and online delivery formats
• Proficiency in two or more languages
