The role
As an Assistant Project Director with HIQ, you will be at the forefront of the state’s largest ever health infrastructure delivery program, overseeing major projects for Queensland Health. Over the next five years, HIQ will support the delivery of three new hospitals, 11 hospital expansions, and upgrades to rural and regional health facilities, adding thousands of hospital beds throughout the State.
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Director to join our team to lead the redevelopment and delivery of a contemporary Multi-Purpose Health Service facility in Cooktown. This project was recently announced within the 2024-25 state budget and will utilise best practices in community consultation, first nations engagement and co-design to provide a facility fit for purpose to provide care closer to home.
You will provide leadership to drive project outcomes for the Cooktown redevelopment in line with Queensland Health project management methodologies. You will lead staff and manage the engagement of project consultants and contractors to ensure delivery is on time and within budget. Through this, you will establish and maintain professional relationships with relevant Government agencies and external organisations to ensure the infrastructure delivery needs are realised.
