ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Nuclear Power Programmes are delivering client critical works to some of our major UK and European Projects. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland’s first Nuclear Power station.
Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.
Amentum are currently looking for an Assistant Project Manager to develop and implement strategies and plans to facilitate the move of EPR-E from 800 Park Avenue to 1000 Park Avenue, setting out how the programme of work will be managed, organised, and executed. Key responsibilities will be:
- Maintain effective communications with all stakeholders and executing the project within their contract or package of work
- Interface with other programmes to ensure a high-level view of how the total project is progressing and to identify and adopt the use of best practice
- Lead relationship with NNB project management resource to ensure open communication lines and align timeframe
- Develop the financial programme for delivery to ensure they are delivered safely on time, to budget, meeting business & technical requirements
- Monitor and manage the progress of the programme - track progress against milestones, deadlines, budget and provide key stakeholders with reports on these matters
- Ensure that contract or package contractual requirements are fulfilled and escalate where necessary to the Business Manager
- Degree in engineering, project management or other relevant subject
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken), ability to manage numerous interfaces, ability to synthesize, pragmatic approach
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail
- Team player with an open mind and a readiness to work on a multi-cultural context and with multiple stakeholders
