Description:

LET’S BUILD THE FUTURE TOGETHER AT WALKER SIME!

Looking for a role where you can really make your mark? Fancy being part of a team that’s shaping communities, delivering exciting projects, and having some fun along the way? Well, you’re in the right place!
We’re Walker Sime, a construction consultancy that’s all about doing things differently—and doing them well. Right now, we’re on the lookout for a passionate, driven Assistant Project Manager to join our awesome Project Management Team in the Buildings sector.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

As our Assistant Project Manager, you’ll dive into some fantastic projects that are making a real difference, from residential developments and community spaces to cutting-edge commercial builds and more. You’ll pick up loads of experience along the way, working on projects that genuinely excite you.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Teaming up with Senior Project Managers to help deliver projects that make us (and our clients) proud.
  • Owning your piece of the action—managing workstreams or even smaller projects, with full support from the team.
  • Visiting project sites across the North (a bit of travel adds to the adventure, right?).
  • Getting stuck into contracts like NEC and JCT, helping us keep things running smoothly.

We’re all about finding the right people for the right role, so if you’ve got the following, we’d love to hear from you:

  • Some experience across project stages—if you know your way around RIBA design stages, planning processes, or on-site management, even better!
  • A knack for working well with people—clients, teammates, stakeholders, you name it.
  • A bit of familiarity with NEC and JCT contracts (or at least a willingness to learn).
  • A background in consultancy or contracting—bonus points if you’ve worked in the buildings sector already.
  • An enthusiasm to take on responsibility and run with it (don’t worry, we’ve got your back)
