Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, highly motivated individual with excellent project management skills to join the Programme Management Office (PMO) at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust.
The role requires an individual who is an effective communicator, with the ability to communicate with both clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels within the organisation, in addition to external project stakeholders .
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines is essential . Experience using project management software, tools and methodologies used to define, develop, manage and monitor project plans is also an essential requirement .

As part of the Programme Management Office (PMO) you will work in collaboration with the Trust’s clinical and non-clinical groups and departments to support the delivery of strategic objectives.
The post holder will provide assistance with planning and managing small/medium scale projects and assist with the delivery of strategic programmes within the Programme Management Office (PMO). In addition, you will assist clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure that necessary tasks and targets outlined in project plans are achieved, including the delivery of benefits.
The post holder will assist with the management of project risks and issues and careful monitoring of action plans to ensure they are accurate and up to date at all times and that appropriate documentation and communication takes place throughout the project lifecycle to ensure effective delivery within set timescales.

Support the successful delivery of the small projects within an acute hospital environment, managing conflicting demands, whilst minimising any potential disruption or disturbance to patients, staff, or other visitors.
Planning, co-ordination, and management (including of small budgets) of a number of different projects or workstreams at any time. This will include liaison with various key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the demands of the Trust are appropriately met.
Developing and monitoring projects using project management tools and templates ensuring appropriate reporting at all levels.
Liaise with other members of PMO team, Strategy, Finance, Workforce, ICT, external suppliers and clinical teams to ensure that projects are delivered successfully.
Provide, receive and interpret information to ensure successful delivery of the projects. Recognise complex information and escalate accordingly.
Effectively document and monitor project risks in line with organisation priorities. Awareness of mitigation and contingency planning. Support the identification, documentation, and monitoring of benefits to ensure projects deliver against agreed deliverables.
Plan and support the implementation of changes. Recognise when there is a need to adjust deliverables to meet unexpected circumstances.
Produce and maintain the formal project documentation required throughout the project lifecycle including the collection of information to support review and/or development of policies and procedures.
To work to tight deadlines under pressure in a complex environment. To contribute to management and administrative processes and structures including managing resources.
To be competent in the use of applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams.
