EDUCATION

Essential

  • Good standard of education with a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
  • Trained in the use of Primavera planning tool and Microsoft Project – Primavera is our default planning tool.

Preferred

  • CAPM or PMP certification.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.

EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES

Essential

  • Proven experience in project planning.
  • Experience of project planning software and a level of proficiency of both latest versions of Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a project schedule which can be rolled up into a master schedule and deliver project status reports as required.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team.
  • Good all round communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills.
  • Professional individual capable of interfacing with clients and speak on behalf of Proserv when required.
  • Willingness to develop an understanding of the communication process and ensure effectiveness (written, verbal and listening) across functional and managerial boundaries.
  • General awareness of commercial terms and conditions and the risks/opportunities of each and understand how they can impact a project both positively and negatively.
  • Be customer focused.

Preferred

  • Subsea Oil and Gas industry experience.
  • Experience in the development of processes and procedures.
  • Proven experience working in Subsea Oil and Gas industry, especially in a project-based manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and testing processes especially the interfaces between each group.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint and Power BI applications
  • Desired experience with either an MRP or ERP system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics

Responsibilities:

Our Assistant Project Planner will support Proserv’s current and future global projects while supporting the development and administration of project schedules to provide comprehensive and robust planning to drive on-time execution, monitor progress, determine critical path dependencies, and provide regular progress reports and S-Curves.
You will interact directly with the project managers and support functions e.g., engineering, supply chain and manufacturing to get the relative information to prepare, manage, update, and provide reports on the projects directly assigned to them.
The primary role of our Assistant Project Planner will be to support the administration and management of robust schedules to drive on time project execution. The opportunity to lead project planning on some projects will also be provided.
This role is an integral part of the Proserv Project Delivery team and would suit a driven and ambitious individual who is in the early stages of their planning journey.
