JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for helping property management maintain a high level of organization and task management. The ideal candidate for this position will have a good understanding of facilities/property management and have excellent communication and organizational skills.
JOB SUMMARY:
- Assist the property manager in daily tasks and help coordinate repair schedules.
- Monitor all department expenditures, keep organized files both physical and digital, and prepare documentation and reports as requested.
- Monitor facilities management software – sorting through requests received, categorizing them, sending them to the appropriate manager and communicating with other departments.
- Conduct physical inspections of homes and facilities.
- Assist in keeping track of physical assets including vehicles, tools and materials.
- Make purchases of materials and supplies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma
- 1 or more years of experience working in a related field
- Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Effective communication via email and phone
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision to achieve company goals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, real estate, or related field
- Experience with a facilities or property management software (ex. Buildium, MaintainX)
- General understanding of construction terms and practices
