STRAND IS LOOKING FOR AN ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER

Strand is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to work alongside the Senior Property Manager. The primary role for this position is to assist the Senior Property Manager in the day-to-day operations of the rental portfolio that includes both residential and commercial tenants. Additionally, providing a high level of customer service to all residents. This is a full-time position based out of our Vancouver head office.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • One year of relevant experience within the Property Management or Real Estate industry
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must own their own vehicle
  • Working knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act is an asset
  • Able to work in an environment often requiring multi-tasking
  • Self-motivated and happy to be in an office environment
  • Desire to obtain a Property Management License
  • Experience with Yardi and Rent Cafe is an asset
  • Professional with a positive attitude
  • Able to follow directions

  • A solid understanding of Windows-based software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Property Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Administrative work involved in the operation of the properties, according to procedures set by the company and instructions from the Property Manager
  • Maintaining awareness of local market conditions and trends
  • Assisting with tenant newsletters and updates
  • Showing vacant units and working through the application process
  • Preparing and compiling leasing documents for the rental of suites, parking, and/or storage lockers
  • Completing move-in/out inspections
  • Advertising vacant units for rent
  • Working through monthly AR reports to collect rent and deposit any rent payments as needed
  • Coordinating security deposits upon completion of signed Tenancy Agreements
  • Coordinating maintenance repairs between tenants and trades
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date files on all residents
  • Conducting site visits to inspect common areas and perform parking/storage audits
  • Attending to tenant requests and keeping detailed records of requests for the Property Manager
  • Coordinating any after hours emergencies
  • Responding to tenant emails and calls
  • Providing daily and weekly reports to the Senior Property Manager
  • Issuing key access cards and maintaining records for each suite

Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education and experience).
