We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Psychologist (0.4) in Brighter Futures (BF) Clinical Psychology Service. The post holder will support the team in delivering psychological services to children, young people and families who are supported by Children’s Social Care Services in Ealing. BF is a team of clinical psychologists embedded across statutory children’s services including children looked after, leaving care, adoption and safeguarding/ child protection. The AP will support the team in co-delivering groups, assisting in assessments, developing materials for direct work and being part of service-user involvement and co-production activities. They will also support the team with service evaluation, quality improvement and routine outcome monitoring. You would be joining a large and welcoming CAMHS Psychology team in West London NHS Trust who are committed to service improvement, staff well-being, and who value diversity in our workforce. West London employs psychologists in the full range of settings including primary care, secondary care, inpatients and forensic services. This means there is ample opportunity for networking with colleagues and sharing expertise. You will receive your own clinical supervision with one of our specialist clinical psychologists and have opportunities to support with indirect and direct work.
The post holder will support the team in delivering psychological services to social care colleagues and children, young people and their families who are receiving support from statutory children services in Ealing. The service delivers an embedded and integrated indirect psychology offer to Ealing’s social care colleagues through consultation, training and reflective practice in addition to assessment and intervention with children, young people and families receiving support from these teams. The post holder would support the team with each aspect of their work, including group work and contribute to any ongoing service evaluation and development within the team. The post holder will have access to training to support them in their role (including Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy-DDP). The post holder will work under the supervision of a Specialist Clinical Psychologists within the team who will support adherence to professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
