THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE WHICH REQUIRES 3-4 DAYS A WEEK IN THE OFFICE AND SOME HOME WORKING.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
- A construction related degree, preferably in Quantity Surveying.
- Enthusiasm to learn
- An organised and methodical approach to your work
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of construction contracts, preferably NEC.
- Great Excel skills

Our Assistant Quantity Surveyors play a vital role in delivering digital infrastructure across the UK by building strong, collaborative relationships with our build partners and teams, ensuring a smooth process and maximum quality across every build. Working as part of our Supply Chain Division, you will provide support to the wider team on the commercial and contractual management of a portfolio of contracts covering fibre build and maintenance contracts. Day to day, this is what you can expect to be doing:
- Aid Quantity Surveyors and Area Commercial Manager with monthly certification of payments to the contractor.
- Support with the review of contractor cost changes.
- Assistance in costing contractual risk.
- Keeping up to date registers of risks and compensation events
- Assistance in reviewing design changes.
- Support reviewing contract work packages before being sent to the contractor.
- Further assistance for internal reporting requirements.
- Attending and contributing to monthly face to face team ideas meetings
