Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Will need flexibility on start and finish times depending on travel.
Location: Homebased with travel to sites in Wales or the Midlands 2-3 days a week
Could you be our next Assistant Quantity Surveyor working across Wales and the Midlands?
As a key member of the Commercial, Central West and Central South Teams, this role’s primary purpose will be to provide support for billable works that require scoping, tendering, and procuring along with risk analysis through construction to Final Account. Working alongside the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be managing the ongoing workload of existing projects from beginning to Final Account.
You will be attending requirement meetings, assisting the Project Managers with scope meetings as well as developing tender documentation for subcontractors and managing the procurement process. You will also be attending site visits when necessary, for example to attend project meetings, walkarounds and reviewing variations.
This role would suit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is 3-4 years into their role and is looking for a new challenge working with primarily concurrent smaller works across several sites.
What you’ll need to do this role
First and foremost , this role will require you to travel to remote locations so you must either hold a full and valid UK driving licence or can travel to remote locations without the use of public transport.
It is essential that you hold a HND/Foundation degree qualification in Quantity Surveying and work experience in the facilities management or construction sectors.
It is desirable that you have previous experience in the commercial element of Facilities Management.
In addition to this, it is desirable that you have experience in construction or refurbishments of large projects (500k-3M) or many small projects running concurrently (£20k-£500k).
Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels
You must be able to pass SC Clearance to be considered for this role.
