MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
- The position requires the successful candidate to have a valid class G driver’s licence or equivalent, and the ability to obtain DZ licence. The offer of employment is conditional upon the successful candidate providing proof that they have a valid driver’s licence upon being hired.
- Ability to complete First Aid and CPR training, provided by employer.
- Ability to obtain Restricted Radio Operator (Air) License.
EQUIPMENT OPERATION SKILLS
- you can use heavy equipment (packer, bulldozer, loader, grader and dump truck)
- you can use small equipment (chainsaw, welder, circular saw, drill press, and grinder)
IMPORTANT GENERAL SKILLS:
- reliable individual interested in improving the airport and services
- clear oral communications skills in order to inform pilots and airport users concerning safe airport conditions
- ability to maintain inventories for fuel, oil, and equipment parts
Responsibilities:
In this position you will assist the Airport Foreperson to:
- operate the airport facility
- maintain the runway, airport buildings and operate airport maintenance equipment
- inform pilots and airport users concerning safe airport conditions
