MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• The position requires the successful candidate to have a valid class G driver’s licence or equivalent, and the ability to obtain DZ licence. The offer of employment is conditional upon the successful candidate providing proof that they have a valid driver’s licence upon being hired.
• Ability to complete First Aid and CPR training, provided by employer.
• Ability to obtain Restricted Radio Operator (Air) License.

EQUIPMENT OPERATION SKILLS

• you can use heavy equipment (packer, bulldozer, loader, grader and dump truck)
• you can use small equipment (chainsaw, welder, circular saw, drill press, and grinder)

IMPORTANT GENERAL SKILLS:

• reliable individual interested in improving the airport and services
• clear oral communications skills in order to inform pilots and airport users concerning safe airport conditions
• ability to maintain inventories for fuel, oil, and equipment parts

In this position you will assist the Airport Foreperson to:

• operate the airport facility
• maintain the runway, airport buildings and operate airport maintenance equipment
• inform pilots and airport users concerning safe airport conditions
