Responsibilities:
MŌ TĒNEI TŪRANGA - ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role contributes directly to the smooth and safe operation of the National Training Centre. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the facility, fleet and resources are maintained in an optimal state.
This role also supports the delivery of training, for example by providing logistical support in organising and setting up training scenarios as required by the course trainers, under the director of the Resource Coordinator. You will conduct and assist with the coordination of the routine servicing and maintenance of all NTC appliances and support vehicles to ensure legal compliance and roadworthiness. Ensure the inventories of the Training Centre’s equipment are maintained in a state of operational readiness.
You will also be on call as required to support weekend training sessions.

This is a hands-on role, either working with the Resource Coordinator or coordinating external contractors, to ensure the NTC facility, fleet, and resources are kept in top condition. Your efforts will directly contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of training by ensuring everything is operationally ready. You will be committed to personal growth and will be a great team player.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE’D EXPECT YOU WILL HAVE:
- Current Class 1,2 and 4 licenses, and Fork Hoist Operator
- Proven experience of working with contractors and completing of equipment testing, repairs and maintenance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A focus on Health Safety and Wellbeing
