Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
We are hiring an Assistant Risk Manager to join our second line Risk & Compliance team. This role offers a dynamic environment for a motivated individual looking to grow within the field of Risk Management, helping ensure the organisations long term stability and compliance.
The Assistant Risk Manager will report to the Head of Enterprise Risk and assist with the ongoing deployment, and oversight of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework across the organisation, supporting first line teams in identifying, assessing, managing, and controlling risk against the evolving risk appetite of the business.
Due to nature of the firm, we expect the successful candidate to be hands on, self-driven and articulate. You will be comfortable working with colleagues at all levels of the organisation on a continuous basis, supporting the business in developing, maintaining, and enhancing its risk management practises throughout the organisation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the development, review, and challenge of risk management activities throughout the business including collation of risk intelligence, production of risk registers, assessment of RCSAs (Risk & Control Self-Assessment) and production of risk analytics and reporting.
- Assist with the coordination of key control assessment testing (via the GRC system), reviewing business attestations and evidence.
- Develop relationships with first line risk and control process owners and raise the profile of effectively operated controls, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Support the business ongoing development of operational resilience capabilities and recovery solutions and provide independent challenge and assessment of the organisations ability to withstand material disruption events and scenarios.
- Support with the ongoing maintenance of enterprise risk registers, in our GRC technology and provide effective challenge where appropriate.
- Assist with risk treatment/action plans, proactively engaging and assisting the business to submit robust and complete evidence for closure of the actions.
- Support the Incident, Breach and GRC Manager in the maintenance, oversight, and execution of the Incident & Breach Management process, providing constructive challenge on risk events and remediation proposals and supporting in identification of root causes.
- Assist with the production of timely, high-quality reports & MI for the Risk & Compliance Committee & Board, as requested.
- Assist in the development of risk management policies and procedures.
