Job Description

Reporting to the Commercial Director, key responsibilities include:

  • Stay informed on market trends, maintain a library of sales resources, and conduct ongoing market research
  • Promote and solicit business through sales trips, community networking, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
  • Oversee internal promotions, ensuring all marketing materials are up-to-date and aligned with management standards
  • Coordinate with Front Office and Housekeeping Departments to manage room reservations and customer inquiries
  • Develop and execute direct mail campaigns in conjunction with the Public Relations Department to promote hotel facilities and events
  • Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Train and mentor junior sales team members, providing guidance on sales techniques and customer relationship management
  • Analyze sales data and prepare regular reports for the Commercial Director, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to optimize pricing strategies and maximize occupancy rates
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand the property’s network and generate new business opportunities

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Sales Manager position must possess the following qualifications:

  • Demonstrated professional discipline and a strong work ethic
  • Unwavering commitment to guest experience and satisfaction
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in both written and spoken English
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role at an 5 stars international chain hotel
  • Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable Hotel Management or Business School
