Description:

The Role
Due to our continued success here at Fortem, we are pleased to confirm that we currently have a new opening for an Assistant Service Manager to join our Stonewater Housing contract, assisting the management of a Social Housing repairs and maintenance service. This role will be based in our head office in Hitchin.

The Project

Responsibilities fulfilled by an Assistant Service Manager:

  • Ensuring WIP is cleansed and accurately reflects the workflow situation
  • Responsible for complying with all internal and external policies; preparing for and complying with any recommendations from Audit and inspections
  • Provide clear and regular communication to staff, ensuring that team and/or branch performance, against target, is communicated and any remedial actions plans are cascaded and implemented
  • Monitoring Planner and CSA adherence to daily disciplines
  • First point of contact for escalation of customer phone calls
  • Responsible for managing and motivating a team, driving team and/or branch performance, providing clear objectives, direction, and leadership
  • Develop, train and retain high quality staff to deliver high levels of customer service
  • Use of reports and dashboards to understand area performance, act on any trends identified

Essential and Desirable Criteria

Essential:

  • IT literate with excellent planning and data interrogation skills
  • Excellent communication and able to build strong relationships
  • People management and leadership skills

Desirable:

  • Experience of workforce electronic scheduling systems
  • Knowledge of repairs and maintenance
