The Springfield Group are recruiting for a motivated experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our construction site management team. Ideally, you will be based in or around Lothian/ Central belt area, with your initial place of work being our Dalhousie development in Bonnyrigg.
About the role
Working alongside the Site Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that our new homes are constructed in a safe and diligent manner, to the highest standard, on time and within budget. You will do this by managing and co-ordinating site labour, sub-contractors, material suppliers and utility providers. You will also promote a proactive health, safety and environmental culture, highlighting areas for continual improvement.
About you
- Experience of working within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of construction/house-build processes and safety regulations.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances on site.
- Be educated to SCQF level 6 or have relevant construction related skills and experience.
- Valid SMSTS, First Aid at Work and CSCS card is desirable.
- Hold a full UK driving license as flexibility to travel to sites/offices across the central belt of Scotland will be required.
