As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be part of the JAK’s leadership team. You will help plan, organize and direct the retail operations of your store in collaboration with the General Manager. You will participate in scheduling, hiring, coaching, performance management, coordinating shift activities, fostering positive relationships among the team and mediating in situations where a customer has a request or complaint.

- Will be a proven leader with a passion for the craft beer, wine and spirits industry
- Has experience in coaching, training, managing and scheduling
- Possesses a positive attitude and has the ability to energize a team
- Is an effective communicator with the ability to share knowledge with our team and our guests
- Is the ultimate team player
- Has the ability to create a ‘wow’ experience for our guests and coaches others to do the same

- Wine Knowledge of WSET 2 or WSET 3 is considered an asset*

    • Assist in leading and managing a team of customer service/sales specialists
    • Develop successful people by providing training, mentoring and coaching to the team.
    • Ensure all JAK’S standards are met and exceeded, resulting in an outstanding retail experience.
    • Participate in the hiring process by collaborating with the store manager and/or the Director of Human Performance on new hires
    • Communicate and achieve budgeted key performance indicators within the team for your store
    • Create and implement customer-focused business strategies
