Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY

This role will be responsible to support the Store Manager in maximising the overall financial targets of the Store, within Company guidelines, through the development and coaching of a team to deliver consistently high standards of customer service. Logistical experience would be beneficial. Forklift preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Store Manager to effectively run the Store, ensuring its long-term sustainability by achieving and maximising operating budgets and financial targets
  • Ensuring that the correct volume of products is ordered to maintain appropriate stock levels, liaising with the Store Manager, vendors and Head Office as necessary
  • Delivering consistently high standards of Customer Service in all departments of the Store and providing Customers with a pleasant shopping environment
  • Coaching and developing Supervisors/Leading hands to ensure that all Team Members understand the specifics of their role and Standard Operating Procedures (where applicable) are followed.
  • Ensuring all departments are complying with all relevant Company policies, procedures and Health and Food Safety legislation to ensure the health and safety of customers and Team Members in the Store
  • Effectively communicating information to team members and driving the adoption of workplace initiatives throughout the Store
  • Assist with the management of recruitment, training and conduct of all team members, ensuring they are managed in accordance with the Enterprise Agreement
  • Maintaining Store security standards by supporting the Store Manager in holding departments accountable for security issues and ensuring Electronic Article Surveillance procedures are followed.
  • Provide customer feedback to Store Manager and/or Area Manager
