Assistant Store Manager

We are looking for an Assistant Store Leader to support our Chesham team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

As a pillar of support to the Store Manager, you’ll understand that our customers are at the heart of everything we do. You’ll lead by example, always striving to deliver outstanding service while surpassing store objectives.

In order to consistently accomplish that, you will:

• Guide, support and motivate a dedicated retail team
• Coach, train and develop new and existing team members to become brand ambassadors
• Ensure operational excellence throughout the store and behind the scenes
• Maintain breath-taking visual merchandising and store presentation
• Identifying customer needs and answering product related questions using your product knowledge whilst offering advice and guidance in the selection of suitable products

As a positive and confident person you’ll have a proven ability in leading a team within the world of retail, ideally from a home lifestyle or interiors brand. You may have had experience as a team leader or supervisor, or even in a role where high level customer service is a focus but what’s most important to us is that you’ll be a truly passionate person, love interiors and have a clear commitment to helping us drive the business forward. Our stores are open seven days a week, so it’s important that you have the flexibility to work during the week and weekends also.
We quite literally built Neptune Chesham from scratch. We’ve designed it so that, from the outside-in and the inside-out, it looks like it’s three mini homes – each one slightly distinct from the other, but all with complementary, common ground to share. Combinations of flint and larch cover the exterior – materials that are in-keeping with the local vernacular – and once inside, you’ll move between a cosy, country retreat-like atmosphere to a modern-country dwelling full of height and light. Our biggest piece of advice when you stop by is to look up – almost every ceiling is a spectacle with exposed timber trusses, mezzanine levels and suspended libraries.
