THE OPPORTUNITIES
As an Assistant Team Leader, you will be responsible for planning and delivering major logistical events, setting expectations for the broader team, and preparing complex correspondence, reports and reviews.
This role’s primary functions include managing and supporting all aspects of large-scale projects, managing a small team, which expands in size considerably during an event, and collaborating and communicating with key stakeholders.
During a federal event, you will act as an APS6 Divisional Returning Officer for one of Queensland’s thirty electoral divisions. In this role, the Divisional Returning Officer’s primary responsibility is to deliver the election in their prescribed electorate.
The advertised position in North Lakes is vacant from July 2025 and additionally we are also seeking interest from individuals looking for an opportunity to work with the AEC in the future as positions become available in our Brisbane Office.
Depending on the business needs and requirements of the AEC, these positions may be offered as either ongoing or non-ongoing opportunities.
